The most race decisive section of a triathlon is the transition from bike to run and the following run to the finish line. Considering changes to much shorter race formats and total race-times below 20 minutes in modern Olympic Triathlon, knowledge on muscle and tendon behaviour are key. The master student will setup, measure and investigate muscle and tendon kinematics in running triathletes using ultrasound.
We are searching for:
- 1 master student with sport-science / life-science / bio-mechanic / medical background
- Motivated and interests in natural sciences
- Technical understanding
- MATLAB & programming skills advantageous but not required
- 6 months (October 2019 - March 2020)
